Alan has over 30 years of consulting and corporate experience in developing and executing marketing and educational strategies for both internal and external audiences. Before starting The Concepts Group, he served as the EVP and COO of an AT&T subsidiary, which was sold to Aon Corporation where he became Vice Chairman of Aon Consulting’s National Communication Consulting Practice. Alan also was a Principal and Communication Practice Leader in the New York offices of Mercer Consulting and has worked at Citibank, where his duties included world wide communications dealing with a wide range of global HR topics/issues.
Alan has helped clients with a wide range of projects, including: global communication strategies, focus groups and surveys (print and web-based), educational and interactive training programs, development and management of wellness education-based programs, marketing of health care programs and products, change management, benefit plan changes and new plan introductions, retiree communications, investor education and retirement planning, product/corporate advertising, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, annual reports, investor relations, financial and other consumer product introductions and re-launches, relocation, etc. He is facile in all media, including interactive web-based programs. Alan holds a BS (cum laude) in Journalism from the University of Florida and an MS in Communications from Boston University’s College of Communications.
